Euston Road
In 2018 were invited by Transport for London and Urban Partners to a competition to re-imagine the Euston Road underpass. The aim of the commission was to increase the use of the link by making it a focal point within the station.
Our winning entry and subsequent design was for a 3-dimensional time-line, which interweaved the history of the local area with the history of London’s infrastructure. The 30m long artwork was constructed from laser cut vitreous enamelled aluminium panels layered to create depth.
Working with graphic designer Studio ND we designed a wayfinding strategy and a series of symbols which reflected four different infrastructure themes which developed along the time-line and linked the underpass to the wider historical context beyond.
