Woodlands

Woodlands is a collection of customisable homes, market housing, affordable housing and supported living apartments in Norwich. The proposal comprises a series of staggered row houses of 2-3 storeys which create a composition of loose streets and courtyards, inspired by Alms House typologies with all landscape areas being shared.

The site sits partially within an existing forest with larger areas of dense trees and a pond to the north (Thorpe Woods). Historically, the site (known as Woodlands) developed from a large house within the Thorpe St. Andrew area, changing gradually over time into the collection of buildings which occupy the site today.
